General dentists are quite similar to general physicians in their approach - they diagnose and treat almost all types of common dental concerns. General dentists provide treatment to patients of all ages, making it highly convenient for individuals to schedule a single consultation for all members of their family.
Cosmetic dental treatment
Teeth whitening: Teeth whitening is a widely performed cosmetic procedure to enhance the beauty of one’s smile. We use teeth whitening gel to get rid of the stains from the surface of the teeth. Some of the popular teeth whitening options are in-office whitening, take-home whitening trays, and laser teeth whitening.
Veneers: Dental veneers are widely used to make changes to the contour, size, and overall appearance of the teeth. They are wafer-thin pieces of porcelain bonded to the teeth on their frontal surface. Teeth that have been cracked, chipped, severely discolored, worn out, or excessively spaced can be restored using veneers.
Gum treatment: The gums are soft tissues responsible for holding the teeth in position and enhancing the aesthetics of your smile. We treat gum diseases by extracting the decayed soft tissues, placing medication near the infected tissues and deep gum pockets, and grafting healthy tissues to the receded area if required.
Crowns: Crowns are ceramic restorations bonded to the teeth to hold them together and prevent damage. They are hollow on the inside, allowing them to cover a tooth entirely. We use crowns to treat broken, chipped, worn out, and extremely weak teeth.
Routine consultations
Routine dental exams are conducted, ideally once every six months, to ensure your oral health doesn’t deviate from an optimum level. We will look into factors such as tartar accumulation, cavities, gum diseases, and other oral infections that need to be addressed during an oral exam. We remove tartar and plaque through ultrasonic scaling, fill cavities using a suitable filling material, and treat gum diseases using laser therapy and medication. If we notice the onset of other oral conditions, we will diagnose them and suggest treatment accordingly.
Pediatric care
Pediatric dentists are specifically trained to treat infants, toddlers, children, and young individuals. In such patients, we usually look into cavity prevention, treating malocclusion, monitoring the growth of teeth and the falling off of baby teeth, etc. Handling young patients requires a unique approach, and Dr. Brockman is well-known for his friendly and compassionate treatment methods with children.
